I see this as a family.

Rome is the father of France and Spain, through two different women of course, Spain from Gaul and France from someone else.

But when he was little, Spain could not say papa, and wound up calling Rome grandpa, so it stuck. So Rome became Grandpa Rome.

France always called him papa.

Later on, Rome has two more children with another woman and they were exposed to Grandpa Rome more than Papa Rome, so Italy and Romano called him Grandpa Rome.

Spain was a little older by then and was doing well with his country, when Rome took Italy away and leaving behind Romano. Of course, Romano got a bad habit of swearing.

Spain was almost an adult when Rome disappeared and the Italians were left defenseless to being conquered. Of course, Austria had won both Italy’s and had given Spain the elder, more potty mouthed of the two.

HE IS NOT A PEDO.

Spain did what he could to take care of Romano, to show him lots of love and affection that Rome did not. Spain tried to make Romano feel loved and wanted, that he was always needed in someone’s life. Antonio did his best to make sure Romano was happy, and there were times in his life where he was, indeed, frustrated, and he felt so guilty about thinking of giving Romano away.

But Spain, finding the protective person he is inside, turned around and protected Romano. From Turkey and from his brother, France.

Spain is a good person, he tries to keep a smile on his face, tries to keep everyone smiling and happy. He had gone through JUST AS MUCH hardships as every other country, sometimes them being worse, and sometimes not quite so bad.

But even when things were down, Antonio would keep on smiling, trying his best to keep Romano happy, to keep everyone smiling and seeing the brighter side of things, that there was a rainbow behind every corner.

Antonio is not a pedophile or a creepy man.

He’s just being kind and caring, thinking of others happiness before his own.

After all, he got himself hurt trying to protect Romano after Romano ran away from him.

So if you think that Spain is a pedophile and odd, then just think about this.

Think of how this bad- @#!*% Spaniard protected someone he cares about, think of the things he does to make others happy.

And he always has open arms to someone in need of help, he’s caring.
